Critter Cam Blogging

My next rod building project will be a Dan Craft FT series 3 weight fly rod specifically the

FT 863-4

This is a fast action four piece 8'6" blank.

While waiting for the the new blank and components to arrive I thought I'd have a bit of fun displaying some of the images my Critter Cam has captured these last few days and nights.

Let's just call this Critter Cam blogging.

Essentially the Critter Cam is a logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 mounted in a two buck craft store bird house that's been modified a bit.

here's a shot of the critter cam.

All manner of critters visit Saint Francis...

Birds...

Cats...

raccoons...

During March I always get a Leprechaun... or two

Lately I've been getting a few visits from Extraterrestrials...

and possums...

and more extraterrestrials...

and cats...

raccoons...

possums...

and a sweetheart named Dolly who wonders where all the kibbles went!

Now when I built the Cam I took precautions against the likelyhood of rough customers... Observe how I've secured the Cam lens by adding strips of self
adhesive magnitic tape on the front stradling the exposed lens. Magnetic strips attached to a clean piece of glass allow me to place a strong magnetically bonded glass shield to protect the lens.

I wonder what kind of pictures I'd get if I put some peanut butter on the glass?

very truly yours,

tws
